Paul is an experienced songwriter and song writing teacher. Having written four full-length musicals and solo songs for which Paul wrote the music, lyrics and orchestrated and arranged the songs he has a vast experience across many musical genres. He has recorded and commercially released his own album Peace of Mind.

 

As well as teaching privately Paul taught songwriting for many years at Wells Cathedral School a specialist music school in his capacity as Head of Rock and Popular Music. Paul is also currently working as a songwriting consultant and teacher at Sherborne School for Girls.

 

Paul's students have gone on to have considerable success in winning competitions and forging careers as singer songwriters or songwriting only. Paul's students have multiple times reached the final and won the Song Academy Young Songwriter competition, The Pilton Stage Competition resulting in performances at The Glastonbury Festival and London’s Wired4Music Allegro Festival and many more. 

 

Pauls songwriting students have also gone to further their songwriting studies post 18 at LIPA. BIM, RNCM and other leading higher education institutions.
